Illegal Wiretaps began in 2010 after impromptu sessions with Stephan Wyatt and Anthony June (Bleu Echo). During this period, Wyatt wrote over 100 songs. With the addition of multi-instrumentalist Dylan Barnes, the band started to perform live in Houston, Texas. They played everywhere they could and with anyone they could. As a three-piece band with no drummer, it was a rare event to see a band perform with a drum machine in 2010; today, however, you see individual performers dragging their laptops to the stage, accompanied by a digital interface device. Unafraid, they performed using strange electronic percussion devices. They cleared more rooms than they filled. But they still made great music - plenty of it.
