An impromptu trip to West Texas lead to the creation of this new batch of songs. My daughter, my son, and I wanted to see snow considering snow is an elusive event in Houston. Our intentions were to see the snow fall in the early evening and then return home the same night. Sadly, there was no snow when we arrived. According to the weather reports, however, it was supposed to snow at night. We decided to stay the night in Sonora--a town that is known for its outdoor recreational activities such as hunting and sodomy. That night we stayed up too late but to our benefit. Around 11:00 p.m., the first snowflakes flew through the air. We were content. We planned to wake up early and play in the snow before the temperatures melted it away in the morning. This music is our homage to those two days in January.
